Song of the Mountains incorporates both traditional and contemporary performance styles in featuring old-time and bluegrass music from the region's brightest stars.
All shows are staged at The Lincoln Theatre, a beautifully restored 1929 Mayan Revival style theatre with state-of-the-art computerized sound and lighting systems.

Many performances are taped by WCVE Public Television for later broadcast on 190 PBS affiliates around the the United States through the National Educational Telecommunications Association.

Your emcee, Tim White, is host of the popular Pickin' Porch show, held Thursday nights at the Bristol Mall.

Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time

Most widely known as a writer, Kentucky native Larry Cordle has had songs recorded by Ricky Skaggs, Garth Brooks, Alison Krauss, Alan Jackson, George Strait, The Osborne Brothers, and many others. At last count, Cordle's songs had appeared on projects that had sold a combined total of more than 50 million records

Miller's Creek

Miller's Creek is a traditional, all acoustic bluegrass band born in 1999 following a yearly jam session at the city park in Newport, Tn. Since that time, Miller's Creek has traveled throughout most of the United States performing for receptive crowds at many large bluegrass venues. The band has logged nearly 10,000 miles per month during its' busiest seasons and has produced four recording projects.

Stevens Family

They have traveled the world for more than 25 years. Based in Hampton, TN band members are Beth Stevens, Douglas Stevens, Gary Laws, and Rachel Johnson. They are described as a rich diverse musical group that cut across the lines of bluegrass, country, blues and gospel. They have performed with many artists over the years including Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Brad Paisley, Daryl Worley, Dolly Parton, Gene Watson, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings just to name a few. The Stevens Family Band frequently performs at the Grand Ole Opry, and has appeared on CMT and European television. They have traveled throughout the United States as well as Canada, Europe and Japan.
The Stevens Family has written many original songs and recorded ten different CDs. Their latest projects are on the Rounder Records label, and have received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. www.StevensFamilyBand.com
